Athena Protection Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to serving and supporting crime victims in our community. We believe in the power of compassion, resilience, and collective action to make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by crime.
At the heart of our mission is the unwavering belief that no one should face the aftermath of a crime alone. We recognize the physical, emotional, and financial challenges that victims often endure, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support they need to heal, rebuild, and reclaim their lives.
Through our programs and initiatives, the Athena Protection Foundation aims to fulfill the following objectives:
1. Direct Support: We offer comprehensive services to assist crime victims in their recovery journey, including counseling, legal advocacy, emergency financial assistance, and other vital resources tailored to meet their specific needs.
2. Community Outreach: We strive to raise awareness and educate the public about the impact of crime on individuals and communities. By promoting understanding, empathy, and unity, we work towards creating a safer and more supportive society.
3. Prevention and Empowerment: We are dedicated to preventing crime and empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to reduce their vulnerability. Through workshops, seminars, and community engagement initiatives, we foster resilience, self-defense, and personal safety strategies.
We firmly believe in the transformative power of collective action. Athena Protection Foundation's education program is dedicated to mitigating crime through public awareness. Our program focuses on educating individuals and communities about the impact of crime and providing practical knowledge and skills to reduce vulnerability. Through workshops, seminars, and community engagement initiatives, we strive to raise awareness about crime prevention, personal safety strategies, and self-defense techniques. We believe that empowering individuals with the right information and tools can significantly contribute to creating a safer and more secure society.
We assist the families of crime victims who cannot afford to bury their loved ones. In the event of a tragedy, our team will provide the emotional and financial support necessary to ensure families receive some peace during such a traumatic and sensitive time.
No one should ever be worried about how or if they can bury a loved one. This is especially true when that family member has been taken away due to a senseless act of violence.
The Crime Awareness and Resources for Elderly (CARE) program is dedicated to combating elder abuse and raising awareness about this often overlooked issue.
Through the CARE program, we provide comprehensive resources, education, and support services to empower and protect elderly individuals from all forms of abuse, including physical, emotional, financial, and neglect. Our goal is to ensure that elderly community members live with dignity, respect, and safety.
We believe that by equipping the elderly with knowledge and empowering them to recognize and report abuse, we can help prevent and intervene in abusive situations.
One of our key community outreach initiatives is focused on providing support and resources to crime victims. We actively engage with local law enforcement agencies, social service organizations, and community groups to ensure crime victims have access to the help they need.
In addition to direct support, our community initiatives also focus on raising awareness about the impact of crime and its effects on individuals and communities. Through collaboration and partnerships, we work towards creating a network of support for crime victims and fostering a culture of solidarity and compassion in our community.
Athena Protection Foundation works directly with Athena Protection Service to provide crime victims with free Concealed Pistol License training. Knowing that you can protect yourself and others helps build confidence and provides a sense of security to those who have been previously victimized.
We believe in the power of counseling to promote healing, resilience, and empowerment. Our counseling program provides a safe and supportive environment where individuals affected by crime can receive emotional support, guidance, and therapeutic interventions. Our experienced and licensed counselors are skilled in trauma-informed care and utilize evidence-based practices to address the unique needs and challenges faced by crime victims.
